Several things inspired me today to create this card.  My friend, Barb, sent me the Penny Black stamp and CAS-ology's challenge this week was "letter" - a post card is just a little letter, right??  I first stamped the HA post card in black on some cream cardstock and then overstamped with the PB stamp (which didn't all stamp very well - my fault not the stamp).  So stamped the part with the flower again, colored it with copics, fussy cut and put it over the unstamped part.  Colored a few of the leaves, cut out the post card and put it on the card base.  Lastly, added some ribbon and a few gemstones. I had made a similar card a few years ago - it's a good one to have on hand to add any sort of greeting on the inside.
Stamps: HA S5665; PB "Botanical Notes"
Inks: Copics - E51, E53, YG91, YG95; HA AF213
Other: May Arts silk ribbon; HA 607 paper

The Monday challenge on the Simon Says Stamp blog is "witch" - to be interpreted in any way.  Decided to give one of my new little cats from PTI a cute, fancy witch hat to make her the focus of the card.  It was one of those cards that had to sit awhile before it all came together.  Had made the background several days ago with leftover letters from "Scary Background" die from Memory Box and then didn't know how to finish it.

Dies: Memory Box "Scary Background"; PTI "Superstition"
Paper: PTI (orange) & HA (black)
Other: HA rhinestone on hat

Cat challenged us to use an inspiration piece she had chosen for our scramble today.  Luckily, I had some scraps on my table and put them to good use.  Cut the butterfly from a piece I had watercolored previously and the white dots were leftovers from another project (the negative parts of a PTI die).
I stamped the sentiment crooked so had to do a little rescue job there.  Card base is 4"x 5 1/2" to allow the butterfly to be over the edge.  I will enter this in PTI's Make-it-Monday challenge also (using the negatives from die cuts).

Die: Hero Arts D1078
Sentiment: Technique Tuesday
Other:  MME enamel dots; large white dots from PTI cover plate Circles

When I saw the Freshly Made Sketches #150 card this week it reminded me of a card I made last Halloween, so did a variation with the same pumpkins. These pumpkins are a free digi from Jane's Doodles which I resized to fit what I wanted.  I fussy cut them out.  I used a gold pen to make the cat's eyes.

I cut the card 5 1/4"x4" because I wanted the pumpkin and cat to be off the edge a bit.

Stamps: Hero Arts "Leafy Vines" (CG509)
Paper: PTI (pumpkins); Bazzill (card base)
Dies: PTI (cat); Provo (letters)
Inks: Distress "peeled paint" and "walnut stain"

Love making Halloween cards!   Thanks for stopping by.   Betty

Just felt like playing around with watercoloring today.  First, I made several large panels of backgrounds with distress ink - smooshing the inks onto the watercolor paper.  While that was drying, I inked up a solid flower stamp with distress marker, spritzed it with water and stamped onto a wine label (courtesy of Jacqueline).  Next did second and third generation stamping.  Then I stamped the outline version of the same stamp over the center flower and used a fine line marker to give the other impressions some definition.  Added the borders and done.
For the next card, I stamped the outline version of the stamp and then used distress markers and a little water to color the flowers.  I put a tiny bit of water on the flower first and then added colors until I liked the result.
I like the second one better, but they were both fun to do.

Stamp:  Hero Arts CL779
Inks: TH Distress markers - tumbled glass, broken china, peeled paint, shabby shutters.
Other: Artists Loft 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper.
