During the pandemic I needed something else to keep me busy and so took up knitting again - I am definitely not very good at it - like if I drop a stitch or have some other mistake, it all has to be ripped out and started over! So over the course of the last year I have knitted lots of hats in all sizes which will be given to a homeless shelter when the colder weather arrives.
This little hat though is for a little one born this past week to a sweet family that I know from church. I think it turned out pretty cute. Made the fun little tag to go with it. Used my laptop for the text and that cute little sheep stamp which is very old.
I also made little gift bags for the older siblings - blowing bubbles and M & M's (hope Mom approves of the candy).
That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by.
So cute! And its thoughtful to include the older sibs too.
ReplyDeleteI never learned to knit, but I did used to crochet baby blankets. If only I wasn't so slow--I'd do crochet, cross stitch & cards--haha! This is the cutest baby hat ever, Betty! Love the sweet tag, too!
ReplyDeleteso cute Betty, I struggle with knitting but can crochet, I love the bright colours you have used!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous Betty. So thoughtul
ReplyDeleteAdorable hat, Betty - love the rainbow colors!! Such a cute tag too and I'm sure the older kids will appreciate the gifts - you are so thoughtful!!
ReplyDeleteYour hat is just wonderful, Betty. Love all the colors and you did a great job knitting. Wonder where my knitting needles are...
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely and the tag is just great! My group knits hats for newborns but with looms and not needles... It's a fabulous way to create a hat and the loom sets have many sizes, so newborns to adults are covered! Bought my looms at Michaels for abut $10/set. Mindless way to keep hands busy while watching tv...and you produce a neat little hat!
