HAPPY 2025!
Is it a Christmas card or maybe a winter birthday card or just a wait and see when needed card???? I couldn't decide so just left off the sentiment for the time being. For sure it's the card designed for the current TicTacToe Challenge #262 with the board created by yours truly. I went down the left side with white on white, gems and die cuts.
Crafty hugs,
I saw an IG post by Katharina Tarta Crafts this past week and it inspired me to make a similar card with some dies and paper that I already had.
The deer are from IO, trees from Hero Arts and not sure about the paper. The little sentiment is from Paper Rose. All the dies and paper are old and no longer available. I added tiny gold stars in the background for some sparkle. The fawn was cut twice for stability. It's an easy card to make once you figure out the dimensions.
I am entering my card at the Creative Creases Challenge - Anything Goes.
Thanks for stopping by.
Spellbinders has a challenge going on right now to use the color lilac and of course their products. Haven't entered a challenge in ages, but today I decided to have a go even tho lilac is not my "go to" color.
Thank for stopping by.
It's time for another TicTacToe Challenge - it's #260 designed by Vicky! I went down the left side with ink blending, CAS and die cut.
Die cut the base for the card with an arch die and embossed the smaller arch die cut center. Die cut the poinsettia, leaves and sprigs from white cs and ink blended the center of the flower with a bit of pink. Also added a bit of pink to the embossed area. A pink sequin in the center and done!
Hope to see your card in our challenge - you have until 21 November to enter. Crafty hugs,
Had fun making my for the current TicTacToe Challenge #258 designed by Felicita. Wanted to do something with the french door dies and finally came up with this idea. I went down the middle with leaves/foliage, thank you and die cuts.
Had a terrible time photographing the inside of the card as those doors just didn't want to stay open - but the inside says "so grateful for you". The brick pp is from my stash and not sure where the door dies are from. The pumpkin is from a long ago Papertrey Ink set as are the leaves from old Hero Arts - and who knows where the cat wandered in from:-)!!! It is on an A2 card base so stands up nicely for display. Thanks for stopping by today and look forward to your card in our gallery. Crafty hugs,
It's World Cardmaking Day so plan on trying to make as many cards as possible today. I created my first for Altenew's Inspiration Challenge for October.
Stamped and embossed Altenew's poinsettia (no longer available) and then watercolored with wine berry, coral bliss and forest glades. Fussy cut the flower and mounted on an arch die cut which had been embossed with SSS holiday greenery. Small yellow sequins were added to the center of the flower. Spattered with gold and added the little sentiment - done!
Thanks for stopping by.
I think I'm about finished with Halloween cards even tho I have so much fun making them. Used some new pp from The Stamp Market and some old Papertrey Ink dies. On middle card I used some Concord & 9th dies - then dropped the smallest die and it has disappeared from the face of the earth!! :-(
This card was supposed to be like the one above only I folded it wrong - but I think it still turned out pretty cute. Very old pp and Concord & 9th dies.
I found the black arch already cut in my scrap box - so with some leftover pumpkins and leaves and more pp it was turned into a card.
I am entering the following challenges - Creative Creases Challenge (anything goes), The Love Challenge (anything goes), SSS October Challenge on IG (Halloween), NBUS Challenge #67 and Two Old Bats (anything goes).
Thanks for stopping by.
Spent some time this weekend having a play with a pumpkin stamp as a background. Wasn't thinking about what exactly where I was going with it, so just stamped it on white 110# cs and embossed in black. Not a very good choice when I decided to use it with watercolor and ink smooshing.
I am entering two of them in LaVon's LOVE Challenge for this month.
Thanks for stopping by.
This week's TicTacToe board #256 was created for you by Karen. I chose down the left side with fall, embossing and layers.
Hope to see your card at TTT this week - you have until 26 September to enter! Crafty Hugs,
Here's my card for this week's TicTacToeChallenge#254 designed my Linda. I went down the right side with patterned paper, dry embossing and blue.
I was recently asked to be the guest designer for the TImeOut Challenge and gladly accepted. This go around is "Inspired by Words" and the specific words are a quote by Lilly Pulizer - "It's Always Summer Somewhere". One summer, while driving across northern North Dakota, the fields of sunflowers were as far as the eye could see - a truly glorious sight. The memory of that was my summer inspiration for my card.
My flowers and the basket are both from The Greetery and the brick wall embossing is from Alternew. After putting it all together, I spattered with some white acrylic and added the little birthday sentiment.
Crafty Hugs,
Here's my card for the current TicTacToe Challenge #252. I designed the board and I went down the left side with foliage, layers and butterfly.
I did some shading around the wreath leaves on the embossed background. The background of the butterfly was a piece of blue that I found in my scrap box - it was from when I did whole bunch of backgrounds with the bubble watercoloring techinque. The lacy part of the butterfly is a piece of shiny vellum. Added some clear "dew drops" to the leaves and done. Will add a sentiment when I need a card for whatever occasion. All of the dies I used are no longer available - the wreath was from Alexandra Renke and the background was from SSS. The dewdrops are from Amazon.Today's card is for Altenew's July Inspiration Challenge. Recently I bought the Altenew craft kit - Eclectic Bouquet. Used those flowers colored with Altenew alcohol markers to make a pop-up card.
The background embossed areas are from SSS and Altenew.
I made a card today for the Altenew June Inspiration Challenge (colors) and am also going to enter it in the Creative Creases Challenge #85 (fun fold).
During Altenew's sale last week, I ordered the Prickly Pear dies - thought it was such a pretty flower - so used it in my card today. I didn't include the cacti leaves from the set - used the leaves from Peony Dream instead. I made a gate fold card (8.5"x5.5" and scored at 2 1/8 on either side to make an A2 card). On either side of the folds, I added an embossed piece called Geo Steps. After die cutting the flowers and leaves from scraps, I arranged them and glued down on the left side of the gate fold. Added a little enamel dot in the center of each flower and the sentiment - done and dusted!!
Thanks for stopping by.
Played with an iris layered die cut today for the TicTacToe Challenge #250 designed by Vicky. I went diagonally from left bottom to top right with ink blending, flowers and layers.
Hope you'll join us for our challenge - you'll have two weeks (challenge closes on 4 July) to create and enter for a chance to be a guest designer.
Crafty Hugs,
Awhile back I was a winner at the Creative Creases Challenge hosted by Debbie Mageed. So here I am today as a guest designer. Tried to find something that was unique as it had to be a fun fold card and scoured the net and found this "column card" that folds flat to be an A2 card. I used the basic measurements and then just did my own thing.
When my card is folded flat it hides the sentiment. I die cut a bunch of flowers and leaves and just arranged them on the front of the column fold. I used a 3D embossing folder (SSS discontinued) for the inside and sides of the column.
I am also entering my card in the current TimeOut Challenge #265.
Hope you can find a fun fold card to create for our challenge.
