TICTACTOE #194

When I'm not feeling particularly creative, I create backgrounds, die cut a bunch of flowers or stamp lots of sentiments.  This past week I did bubble blowing backgrounds.  I used some watercolor (1 part), Dawn soap (1 part) and about 3 parts water in a plastic cup.  If you google "bubble painting" you'll find many videos and recipes for this technique.  I also used heavy weight cardstock cut into 4.25"x5.5" pieces.  I die cut one of my pieces for the flower and another for the leaves for my TicTacToe Challenge card for this week.

After adding the flowers, enamel dots and sentiment to the embossed background, I sprayed it all with some sparkle mist.

Hope you'll join our challenge this week with this fun board Joanne created for us.  I went diagonally from left to right with die cut, flowers and enamel dots.

TURNER SYNDROME AUCTION

Lori Kobular is having an auction of cards on Instagram beginning on 1 February.  I have donated cards for this auction several times in the past and have had bids on my cards which raised a little bit of money to support the Turner Syndrome Foundation.

The first one is a watercolor using a page from the Altenew watercoloring book.  The second one used some washi tape and die cutting to make a mini slimline shaker birthday card.  the third card is one I designed for my next card class.  I did the bubble blowing technique with some Royal Langnickel watercolor, Dawn soap and a bit of water to create the background along with an old Hero Arts heart.

Thanks for your kind comments.

LOVE YOU TO PIECES

I am the designer of the board for the first TicTacToe Challenge for 2023.  Since we need to start creating our Valentines, I have made a Valentine themed board.  I went down the middle of the board with hearts, free and shade of red.

supplies: sentiment & puzzles pieces - Waffle Flower; large heart die - Hero Arts: embossing folder - Spellbinders Embossing Club; heart sprinkles - KatScrappiness

I made a shaker with little red hearts, sequins and puzzle pieces inside. The puzzle pieces are glued to a red background and form the background which is all embossed with little hearts - as is the front of the card.  Finished it off with that cute sentiment.

I hope you'll join our challenge this week - it's never too early to start on those Valentines!
