HAPPY BIRTHDAY

I have a last minute entry for the Seize the Birthday Challenge (embossing) which also fits The Paper Players Challenge (diagonally from left to right - birthday, flower, die cut).

I die cut the flower from light pink cs and then blended worn lipstick DO for some shading - same for the leaves - used rustic wilderness DO.  Embossed a leafy background which I matted in black for my mini slimline card.  Put it all together with a little sentiment and done!

Thanks for visiting me today.

POCKETFUL OF POSIES

Not exactly a pocketful of posies, but just a pretty Valentine for that special day coming up.

I have had those white leaves sitting on my desk since last fall for another card that I never finished.  So filled the heart pocket with them instead and added to the new Spellbinders heart ef.  Added a silk bow and the sentiment and done!

Thanks for visiting today.

SENDING HUGS

LeAnne has a great board for this week's challenge - perfect for adding to your Valentine stash.  I went down the right side with pink, heart and white.

I began by creating my heart wreath from a piece of pink watercolored paper.  Embossed the card base with a leafy background and put it all together with a bold sentiment and some sparkly sequins.

I am entering my card at the ModSquad Challenge which is to create a Valentine card and also in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with a theme of "love is in the air".

Join our challenge this week - the winner will be a guest designer in one of our future challenges.

LITTLE TOWN

52 Christmas Card Throwdown theme for January is "little town".  Another card for the 2022 stash!

I began by embossing a light gray card base with a snowy folder.  Die cut the town from some darker gray cs and added gold metallic paper behind all the windows.  Tore some white cs for the snowy banks and put it all together with the sentiment, stars in the sky and sparkle on the snowbanks.

LOOSE WATERCOLORED FLAP CARD

Today I have one more card for CAS Mix-Up challenge to use loose watercoloring.  Watched Jennifer McGuire's video on how to make a flap card and had to have a go.  If you watch the video you'll see just how to create a card like this.

I used a large bloom which I stamped and embossed in gold on watercolor paper.  After doing my watercoloring, I fussy cut the flower just like Jennifer does in her video.  Then I used an impression plate for texture on the second flap.  Put it all together with a sentiment strip and a few clear sequins.

Thanks for stopping by today - love to read your kind comments.

WINTER BIRTHDAY

Joanne has created a winter themed board for us at the TicTacToe Challenge this week - lots of ways to create with this one.  I went across the top with winter, birthday and blue.

I stamped and embossed in gold the snowflake border on a top fold A2 white card base.  Then I ink blended tumbled glass, peacock feathers and chipped sapphire DO inks over all.  Added the sentiment in the center and done.

Join our challenge this week for a chance to be a future guest designer.

HAPPY PLACE

Creating cards is certainly my happy place, but thought this sentiment would be perfect for a Valentine card also.  Made this card for CAS Mix-Up's current challenge of loose watercoloring.

Began by loose watercoloring the background and die cutting it with a stitched rectangle.  Die cut the lacy heart (retired HA) three times for some extra texture.  The little flowers were die cut from another piece of loosely watercolored paper.  Added the sentiment and a few sequins and done!

LOOSE WATERCOLORING DIE CUTS

CAS Mix-Up wants loose watercoloring, Simon Says Stamp IG challenge is embossing and NBUS is something never used.  So I combined the three with my new magnolia dies and embossing folder from SSS.

I first loosely watercolored on some watercolor paper with shades of pink, green and yellow.

I just play around with the color until there are a good mix of shades and then die cut the various parts - the pink piece had already been die cut.  If necessary, I add in more color after die cutting.  Embossed my background and assembled with the sentiment.
