TICTACTOE CHALLENGE #150

Vicky has designed a great spring challenge for us this week at TicTacToe Challenge #150.  I had a hard time deciding which way to go but finally went with the diagonal from left to right - pastel colours, spring flowers and stencil.

I used the stamp and stencil that came from an Altenew card kit.  After stamping and coloring with inks using the stencil, I blended in more shading with colored pencils.  Trimmed the piece down for a mini slimline card - added the sentiment and done!

Hope you will join us this week with this fun challenge - winner will be a future guest designer.  Looking forward to seeing your creations.

TICTACTOE CHALLENGE #148

In case you need just one more Valentine, Felicita designed a great inspiration board at the TicTacToe Challenge for you today.  I made another Jennifer McGuire flap card - watch her video for complete details on how to create it.   I went down the left side of the board with red, heart, sentiment.

I first die cut two hearts and glued them together.  Then ran them through my Cuttlebug with a 3D embossing folder.  Gently daubed some white pigment ink on the red heart to bring out the design.  I used a debossing folder to make the textured background on the second flap.  Put it all together and added the outside and inside sentiments and a few sequins.  If you watch the video you'll get how this card comes together.

Be sure to join our challenge this week and have a chance to be a future guest designer.

TURNER SYNDROME FOUNDATION CARD AUCTION

From February 4 - 7 there is a card auction on Instagram to support the Turner Syndrome Foundation.  Here is the link -  https://www.instagram.com/p/CYZfjzWpvzK/

TSF supports families dealing with Turner Syndrome by providing support and educational programs, research and outreach.

Turner Syndrome only affects females and they are born missing all or part of their second X chromosome leaving them with lifelong medical issues, learning disabilities, and sometimes behavioral issues.  Turner Syndrome was recognized by Doctor Henry Turner back in 1938!!

I am contributing these three cards for the auction so I'm hoping they'll bring in a little bit of a donation.

Thanks in advance for checking out the auction and maybe bidding on a few cards.
EDIT:  my cards brought in $30 in donations!
