As I was going through challenges to possibly enter today, I found I could design one card that would fit four of them - Color Throwdown and Merry Monday for the colors, CAS(E) #135 for the sketch and HLS Christmas for "sparkle".
The poinsettia, leaves and background were watercolored with my Zig clean color brushes. Used HA gold embossing powder for the flower, leaves and sentiment. My poor photography doesn't show the sparkle very much but there is lots of Wink of Stella sparkle on the poinsettia. Hope maybe the gold will qualify for sparkle too.
Thanks for stopping by and your kind comments. Betty
Were you lucky enough to score the light Zig colors? This sure is pretty with the gold embossed edges and soft coloring! Thanks, Betty, for sharing with us at Merry Monday!
ReplyDeletestunning.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful elegant card. Love the simplicity. Can you tell me the stamp set you used for the poinsettia & leaves? When I click on the words, the link doesn't take me anywhere.
ReplyDeleteKathleen - the poinsettia and leaves are from Hero Arts - it's called Peace Poinsettia - i fixed the link - sorry for my goof.
DeleteLoved your card so much, I tried it with a rose. I wish I had a bigger rose - I like the way the poinsettia is so dominant on your card. Anyway, used my zig clean water brush pens and lots of Wink of Stella. Plus made a custom envelope. Thanks so much for the inspiration! Would love to show you the finished result, but I don't know how to upload a picture in my comment.
DeleteBeautiful poinsettia! Love this! Thank you for joining us at Merry Monday!
ReplyDeleteReally gorgeous card, Betty! Your Poinsettia is so pretty and your coloring is just beautiful! You're doing so well with the Zig brushes (me, not so much) and I love how you added sparkle with your WOS glitter pen!

ReplyDeleteTotally delightful Christmas card Betty, love every design element. Thanks for sharing at Merry Monday.
ReplyDeleteThis gorgeous poinsettia looks like the thinnest of stained glass with the gorgeous coloring inside that lovely gold outline. Love the addition of the thread tucked in behind this beautiful flower, and the slight suggestion of the pale watercolor background. Thanks for sharing this at HLS Christmas Challenge as this certainly 'sparkles'.
