O CHRISTMAS TREE

On 6 December, I am participating in a small Christmas bazaar and so have been really busy creating cards to sell.  Ages ago I did bazaars and sold all sorts of crafts that I had made, but this is the first time I'm selling cards.  Finding a way to display them is sort of difficult, but I'm sure I'll figure something out.  Here are a few of the cards I have made that are just Christmas trees.

I think I have about 100 cards to sell - hope they sell or I'm going to have cards to send out forever!!!  I'm sorry I haven't commented on blogs for awhile.  Besides making the cards and packaging them in cello bags along with envelopes, I also made some business cards for myself - all time consuming.  I'm delighted that my daughter is going to be able to help me with my sale table.

Thanks for stopping by - always love to read your kind comments.

STITCHED ORNAMENT

Decided that I should try some stitched ornament Christmas cards this year - so bought one of the latest Spellbinders ornaments and am using it for my design at the TicTacToe Challenge #190 board created by Vicky.

Used gold thread for the stitching and then some metallic cardstock for the top and bottom accents.  A snowflake impression plate for a subtle background.  Framed it all with some darker turquoise cardstock.

I used the bottom row of the board for my card - frame, die cut and ornament.

Hope you'll join our challenge this week - great board for creating a Christmas or winter card!

AUTUMN LEAVES

Felicita's challenge for this week at TicTacToe Challenge is perfect for making a Thanksgiving card for someone in your family or to send to a friend.  I went across the bottom with rust, any color and gold foil.

I dug out an old Concord & 9th turnabout and had some fun with rust, blue and gray.  After trimming down my panel, I added a rust mat and then onto a blue card base.  The sentiment is from another old C & 9th set and die cut it from some gold foil cs.  A few gold sequins here and there completed my card.

Would love to see your card in our gallery this week!  Come join us for a chance to be a future guest designer.  Crafty hugs,

HAPPY HOLLY-DAYS!

Elizabeth, our newest design team member, designed the board for this week's TicTacToe Challenge #186.  I went down the middle with red, sparkle and holly.

I started by gold embossing holly leaves all around the edges of a piece of dark red cardstock.  Stamped the sentiment and also gold embossed. Using some distress inks, I blended in toward the middle with darker reds.  Added red Nuvo drops onto the berries and then some extra sparkle with gold sequins.  Finally I sprayed the whole thing with some glimmer mist.  Sorry the photo looks blurred - I think it's the glimmer spray at fault! or maybe my poor photography skills!!!

Hope to see your entry in our challenge this week - great way to add another Christmas card to your stash!

WEDDING

A special order wedding card - looks rather simple but took me forever to make - mainly 'cause I kept messing up stamping the names.

I used Concord & 9th's Sophisticated Script and the daisy embossing folder from Altenew.  I did the stamping first and then embossed.

Thanks for stopping by.

CAT HAIR

Haven't enter a challenge for awhile but this sketch from Freshly Made Sketches caught my eye and thought it would be perfect for these cute little cats!

Love that sentiment and have the perfect friend who will be receiving it!  It's from a very old Papertrey Ink stamp set.  The cats are from Amazon.

Thanks for stopping by and love to read your kind comments.

AUTUMN WREATH

Joanne is the creator of the board for this week's TicTacToe Challenge #184.  I went down the right side with die cut, layers and autumn colors.  My card also fits across the top with foliage, wreath and die cut.

I used a plaid die to emboss the kraft card base.  Made my wreath with some oranges and deep yellows and added copper colored leaves along with gold spatters and yellow enamel dots.  Added the copper die cut sentiment and done.  On the inside I added "for you".

Hope to see your autumn cards in our challenge this week - crafty hugs.

BOO!!

Here's a super easy Halloween card for this week's TicTacToe Challenge #182 - board designed by yours truly!!  I went from left to right diagonally - Halloween, free and shaker!

I made an edge to edge shaker card with an orange background and filled with some cute Halloween sequins and such.  If you haven't ever made an edge to edge shaker you can find directions on Nina-Marie's video - start at the 6.33 minute mark.  I die cut the "BOO" from black cardstock and then sprayed it with Tim's mica spray stain - irongate.  It's very shiny in real life!  Added the little spider on top and done!

Hope you like my inspiration card and will join in our challenge this week.  Crafty hugs,

TICTACTOE#180

Vicky designed a wonderful board for you this week for TicTacToe Challenge #180.  I went with the diagonal going from left to right - foliage, any sentiment and flowers.

I had been playing around with alcohol inks this past week and used my pink/coral and green pieces for die cutting my coneflower.  The embossed piece is a daisy background and the card is a mini slimline - 3.25"x6.25".   Added a subtle scripty sentiment and done.

Hope to see your card in our gallery this week.  Crafty hugs,

FALL LEAVES

Purchased the new Tim Holtz mica Halloween spray sets recently and oh, what fun they are for fall cards!!  My card is for The Paper Players who want leaves as a theme this week.

I first embossed my card base and then added my sparkly leaves. All it needed was a simple sentiment to complete.

BLACK CAT AND PUMPKINS

I haven't entered a challenge in ages, but the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge this week really inspired me.

I die cut the windows from a very old PTI die.  Traced the windows onto the card base, stamped the spiders and then did a little ink blending for the background.  Assembled my pumpkins and then put it all together with the little sentiment.  The card base is Neenah desert storm.

Thanks for stopping by today - love to read your kind comments.

INSPIRATION FROM A NAPKIN

Went to a gathering the other day and the napkins used were the inspiration for my card.

I sprayed a piece of cardstock with mica spray stains and then die cut the leaves.  Also used the mica spray for the chickadee but added additional shading with black soot distress ink.  Embossed the background of the card with a woodgrain folder and shaded with more distress ink.  Left off a sentiment for now until I need a special card.

Thanks for visiting today.

FALLING LEAVES

Felicita has a great autumnal board for us at the TicTacToe Challenge #178 this week.  I went straight down the middle with orange/rust, free and layers.

To create my background, I used a leafy background 3D folder on a 5.25"x4" piece of cs. Then I masked off the edges with 1" tape and ink blended the leaves in the center with some DO inks.  This piece was mounted on an A2 card base.  Die cut the leaf three times and layered up.  Added it to the corner along with the sentiment and a few enamel dots.  Done!

Hope to see your lovely cards in the challenge this week.  Crafty hugs.

SHADOW STAMP BACKGROUND

I still have some of my very old shadow stamps from Hero Arts and decided to pull one of them out to use as a background.  Had already taken these stamps off the wooden blocks so I could use them in my MISTI.

I inked it up with some tattered rose DI, spritzed with a little water and stamped.  Next, I spattered the whole piece with gold metallic ink and when it was dry, stamped the sentiment.  Die cut some wheat, arranged and glued to background.  I backed this piece with some tan cs and then mounted on an A2 card base.  Added the twine bow and done!  I'm really liking this design and think I will make more for different occasions.

BUBBLE PRINTING

Recently I watched a Youtube video by Chris Stokes about  bubble printing and was fascinated by it.  Such an easy and fun technique!!

My card is almost a complete CASE of her card - different butterfly.  I just made a little bowl of the mixture and have enough for quite a few backgrounds.  I used Bristol paper and had very little warping.  How do you like my new pen?  One of the receptionists (Teresa) here makes and sells these in a huge variety of colors.

Thanks for stopping by.

BACK TO SCHOOL

LeAnne has created a fun "back to school" themed board for this week's TicTacToe Challenge.  I immediately thought of some Graphic 45 ABC patterned paper that I've been hoarding forever!  I went from upper right to lower left with my card - Alphabets, Red and Checks.

I used red checked paper for my large "birthday" and then some of the cute dotted paper from the same paper pad for the "happy" and the flowers.

Hope to see your card in this week's challenge - crafty hugs,

Bouquet

Created a pretty floral bouquet for Joanne's current TicTacToe Challenge #174.  I went down the right side with die cut (lots of them!!!!), free and embossing.

I must say these die cut layered flowers are quite fiddly but I certainly had fun mixing and matching the colors to create my bouquet.  I embossed the background on the tan card base and added the little sentiment to complete my card.

Hope I'll see a card from you in our challenge gallery this week!

TWOFER FOR TICTACTOE CHALLENGE

I designed the board for this challenge and managed to find a way to use a small leftover piece for a second card.  I went across the bottom with watercolor, bright colors and floral.

I stamped the floral arrangement with black ink on bristol paper and watercolored the flowers with my Zig markers.  After cutting it down to 3.75" by 5" I matted it with navy and then onto a white A2 card base.  Stacked up the "hi" die cut three times with a white halo.

I had a leftover piece and just couldn't put that to waste so made a second card with it.  Matted it with yellow and black and added to a white mini slimline base (3.25"x6.25").  The "thanks" is stacked twice and then three times around the "s" so it would lie flat on the card base.

Thanks for stopping by today and hope to see your creation in this week's challenge.  Crafty hugs.
