Another
card for A Blog Named Hero's monthly challenge - "one layer". To give
my card dimension, texture and interest, I used both dry and wet
embossing with one focal point and a varied background.
The
leaf stamp is a HA wood block which is no longer available - but any
large stamp could be used for a focal point. The leaf is stamped in
versamark and then embossed in a mix of copper and gold
powder. The background was sponged with DO inks (wild honey,
fossilized amber, spiced marmalade and vintage photo) and then spattered
with water. I used two of the HA infinity rectangle dies to dry emboss the frame, added some Nuvo gold drops and done!
Other
than fiddling around to get my two rectangle dies perfectly aligned,
this was a quick card to make. So put on your thinking caps and make a
fantastic one layer card for our challenge - there's still time so
enter here and be eligible for a great prize!
At first glance I thought this card had layers...so clever to include several techniques on one layer...WOW! I love the mix of copper and gold powder on the leaf, too...Beautiful card, Betty!
