This month I'm sending my card to my good stamping friend, Greta in Or. I followed the sketch and the colors for the CCC challenge pretty closely.
I used the embossed impression technique from Jennifer McGuire - it didn't come out as good as hers did, but I 'm happy with it. Used leaf dies from Concord & 9th to make the impression and then watercolored them with DO inks. Did some spattering with gold metallic paint and added some Nuvo drops and the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by and love to read your kind comments.
I loved Jennifer's video, but my attempt was a complete failure when it came to the coloring. I don't know how you stayed in the lines, Betty! One of my all-time favorite cards which I admire every day--thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteAwesome colors Betty, and I know Greta love it - even if I hadn't read her comment I knew she would.

Very pretty Betty I love all the gold splashes.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful design and colours, Betty. I have tried that technique of embossing a few times and not had the best of luck. You've really mastered it. I bet Greta will LOVE her card! xx
ReplyDeleteGreat job on this technique...WOW! I love how you colored the leaves, too...such a beautiful autumn card, Betty!
