Justine's challenge homework for us on day 2 of Progressive Cardmaking was to try the same design with different size borders. Since I had the large peony bloom on my desk, I just went with that as my stamp.
I stamped the flower on a piece 4.25x5.5" cs and masked it for stamping the leaves. Then I masked off the edges with some 1" post-it tape and blended the blue inks in the center. Trimmed it to 3.45x5" and mounted on an A2 card base. Left off a sentiment until I need a card with a particular sentiment.
For my second card, I kicked up the stamping a notch. With the MISTI, I stamped the flower and the leaves on an A2 card base and a piece of 4.25x5.5" cs. Then I trimmed the single sheet and did the ink blended rectangle. Matched this piece to the card base, added the sentiment and some sequins and done. On both cards I used a blue set of Altenew inks and their small blending brush.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Both beautiful, but I really love the second one! Not sure I've ever done that design, but now I want to!
