ALTENEW ACADEMY CLASS

After spending the past two previous months packing and unpacking, organizing cupboards, arranging furniture, and everything else that goes along with a big move (big in so many ways!) - I decided to take an Altenew Academy class to restart my crafting.  The class was only four days and for each of the days I created a card.  I already knew most of the techniques, but the class forced me to create every day.  Each of my cards was inspired by a card the instructors had made.  I am not going into details about each card - just will mention the particular technique.

was supposed to be watercoloring, but I didn't feel like watercoloring so just made a card using the same products as Jennifer

All the info about the class is here

Thanks for stopping by and always love to read your kind comments.

  1. If I haven't tinkered for a while, I always need a special nudge to make it really good again. You show us four beautiful results here and I'm sure you'll apply what you've learned to other cards.

  2. Beautiful cards Betty. Glad you have been able to get some crafting. Sounds like a great class. I'm doing a stenciling one at the moment but haven't done my homework yet!

  4. Well done Betty, on taking the class amidst a move and to keep up with the homework. As you get used to your new space, you'll get more urge to craft. Happy New Home.

  5. Oh, Betty--I can empathize with you about the move. I moved within my building last year and it was just as "painful" as a move to another location. It took months before I could even walk through my craft room without moving a box or other stuff to get where or what I needed. Take it slowly and enjoy the trip down memory lane in your stash. I also want to say that I've followed you for at least four years and always enjoy what you post. Your work is lovely!

  6. Wow--you sure made good use of the class, Betty! I'd say your break didn't dampen your creativity at all! The first card is striking with the beautiful coloring! The second card is one of my favorite designs with the masked rectangle & love how you used it with the flower & leaves! So happy you're back making cards, my friend!
