ALTENEW ACADEMY 2
Another homework card for day 2 of the Altenew Academy where Marika's topic was coloring leaves. They don't look anything like what she did but I kinda like how they turned out.
I stamped the leaves in a soft gray and then colored with some gray Zigs. Then I used soft gray and black colored pencils to add more shading, finally using a fine line marker to give some vein lines to the leaves. The flower is stamped in black and embossed in clear. Created the background with my Clarity brushes in abandoned coral distress ink. Adhered some striped washi tape, arranged the bouquet, added some droplets and done. This will be one of those cards waiting for a sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by and all your kind comments.

ReplyDeleteAwesome! They don't need to look like mine, they need to look like yours and yours look absolutely wonderful! :) Great work! Love your card!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful Betty. I love that the color is limited to the background, it really makes your black/white/gray images pop. Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteGreat job with colouring your leaves Betty. Fantastic design with having the flower and leaves neutral and colour in the background. Your striped washi tape is just the perfect accent. xx
ReplyDeleteI have really gotten behind on my visits...my apologies!
ReplyDeleteYour leaves are really beautiful, Betty! I love how you added dimension with your pencils, and your coral background is so pretty! You get an A+ for this homework assignment...that's for sure!
