90 MINUTE SCRAMBLE

This week Cindy revived a fun challenge on the Hero Arts Flickr group - make a card, photograph and post all within 90 minutes.  Our challenge was to make a long card.  I was so used to making top folding cards, I couldn't figure out how to make a long top fold card - duh!!!  So I made a 3"x6" card from a 12" piece of cardstock.  After I was all finished I realized I could have easily done a side fold card and made it long and narrow - math has never been my forte!!!!  Anyway, here's my card.

The gold frame was cut with my new Hero Arts Infinity Wood Frame die.   I die cut the flower from watercolor paper, put water on it, dabbed some pink watercolor in the center and just let it flow.  Used my heat gun to get it dry quickly.  Tied a little gold thread on it, added the sentiment and done in 65 minutes.  Now to find an envelope to fit my card.

Thanks for dropping by!

  1. Such a gorgeous card, Betty! Always love pink & gold together & the woodgrain in gold is stunning! Not to mention that gorgeous die cut flower with the perfect flow of the wc! I've been making more side folding cards lately as I've noticed they seem to stand up better when the cardstock isn't 110lb.

  2. So elegant Betty. The gold frame highlights the pretty pink flower. The watercolour on it is gorgeous. The way you got the darker in the centre and lighter at the edge is just superb.
