THREE CHALLENGES

Today I have three cards for different challenges.  Sometimes the challenges end before I get around to doing them but with so much time these days, I've become a bit more organized in getting them done.  I'm still using my planner book which I started when I took an Altenew class with Nicole Watt.  I've added calendar pages for every month and write down the date the challenge ends and the theme.  I've also added some more inspiration pages which I want to use for creating cards.

My first card is for The Card Concept where the theme is Easter Blessings. I created a clean and layered card using the cross, the white from the table and the white flowers.  I put my flowers and cross on a pale gray card base.  Since I've mailed out my Easter cards for this year, I decided not to put a sentiment on it right now - could be used for an Easter or sympathy card.

My second card is for Retro Rubber which is using squares as the theme for this week.  The stamp I used for the sentiment comes from "Tiny Words" from Simon Says Stamp in 2018.  The square dies are quite old also but I don't remember how long I've had them.  I had an alcohol inked piece on my desk which I used for the leafy die cut - one of my favorites.

Finally this card is for the MFT birthday challenge where flowers are the theme.  I smooshed the background piece with spritzed inks and a piece of acetate.  I stamped the Floral Focus stamp on both the card base and the smooshed piece.  I used my Zigs to color in the flowers with coordinating colors.  Adhered a piece of foam before putting it on the card base - carefully matching everything up.  Added the little sentiment and done.

Thanks for visiting and love to read your kind comments.

  12. All three cards are gorgeous. But I have to admit the one for RR is my fave, the alcohol piece worked so well as that die-cut. Thanks for joining us at Retro Rubber this time. Claire DT
