PINK LILY

A friend asked me to make some blank cards - sometimes that is so difficult 'cause often the sentiment balances the whole design.  But managed to produce them and this is one of my favorites.

The card base had been in my stash for awhile with that cut out circle - no clue what I had originally wanted to do with it! First I backed the circle with another larger circle of printed vellum.  Used a glue pen to attach the vellum and it didn't show at all.  Stamped the layered lily with my new Altenew pink inks, spattered the front with some gold, added the flower and a few sequins and done!  Am entering this in the new Flower Challenge and also CAS(E) This Sketch #194.

Thanks for stopping by today and your kind comments make me happy.

  4. Beautiful card, love the way you utilized that card base that you had laying around, been there, done that!! Sometimes it's because I changed my mind about the layout.
Great idea to add the beautiful spotted Vellum and combine this two challenges.
Thank you for sharing with us at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE.

  9. Fabulous stamping Betty and I LOVE those spatters and it's a great take on the sketch too! Thank you for popping by my blog today and taking the time to send well wishes, I appreciate it. Mum is definitely on the mend - but, of course, will never get beck to her old self and be independent - it breaks my heart to see how frail, confused and weak she is now. She still manages a lovely smile for us though! I am sorting paperwork out every day now, as she got everything into such a muddle! Well, I better get on - I just wanted to thank you for your kindness in popping by. Have a wonderful weekend! Hazel xx
