My friend, Linda has been teasing me about penguins ever since I told her I wasn't into penguins plus mermaids, big-eyed little children and a whole list of other stuff.  I've been teasing her right back so today I thought I'd better put my money where my mouth is with a penguin card for Christmas Kickstart challenge.

Linda sent me these cute little Hero Arts penguins several years ago so dug this darling little girl out of my stash and made a shaker card with some fun papers.  The sentiment is from an old Ellen Hutson set and is white embossed.

Don't think I'll ever do a mermaid or any of the other stuff I'm not into, but must admit I had fun with this card.

Thanks for stopping by today and love to read your kind comments.

  1. So cute, Betty. I have a penguin die and stamp somewhere but haven't used them yet. Mermaids, never.

  2. Darling card Betty, so glad you took up Linda's challenge. I need to get on the stick too!

  3. what a super sweet card Betty. Penguins are so cute.

  4. So adorable, Betty!! Just love the buffalo plaid frame with the red backing for the fun shaker!! You really did that penguin proud with the sweet bow and the bitty Christmas tree!! Glad you played along with the penguin theme and, who knows, you may come to love penguins?!

  5. Hi Betty, I'm delighted that you grasped this challenge! I love penguins, but I'm kinda with you on mermaids and big eyed children. Love your penguin and that you made a shaker card. Thanks for playing along with Gail and I, and I hope that you are keeping well. Take care and I hope you'll come and play here again, Jo x

  6. Hi Betty, your penguin shaker is awesome. What a cutie she is. So glad you joined the fun at the Christmas Kickstart Challenge. Hugz
