Greta hosted a scramble tonite on the Hero Arts discussion page - the challenge was to use an item not normally used for paper crafting.  Be sure to check it out if you'd like to see some really clever, creative ideas all done in 90 minutes or less.  I used a technique I saw Loll Thompson demonstrate in her first video - basically you use cling wrap to dab ink on card to create a resist.
It was difficult to get the light just right for photographing - I dried the ink with my heat gun and then sponged on distress ink to make the background.
The poinsettia was stamped and die cut, then popped up with leaves inserted underneath.  The sentiment was die cut and then embossed.

Stamp: HA CL796
Die: HA DC116
Other: Ranger distress ink - spun sugar, picked raspberry; PTI dark avocado; Ranger liquid platinum embossing powder; Tsukineko frost white ink

Thanks for stopping by and your kind comments.  Betty

  1. Great soft background and your pink poinsettia is lovely.

  2. Your idea was so clever, and your card is so elegant, Betty! Your background is so subtle and beautiful, and your Poinsettia is perfection! I'm so impressed with what you created in 90 minutes...WOW!

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave comments - they make my day!
