I have had the Altenew Fantasy Floral dies since before Christmas and just now am getting around to trying them out.
I die cut the flowers and leaves with watercolour paper and then used my Kuretake watercolours. Used my pale gray Zig and water to do the shadowing around the flower. Put it all together on the wonky die cut rectangle and then onto a pale gray card base. Added the little white embossed birthday sentiment and a few rosewater Nuvo drops.
Am entering this in CAS Watercolour birthday challenge.
Thanks for stopping by and love to read your kind comments.
Gorgeous layered rose, Betty, and I love the grey wash behind! The Nuvo drops add the perfect touch!!

ReplyDeleteLove your flower in the different shades!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, Betty--this is gorgeous! I can see you're going to get a lot of use out of those dies! Love the flower & leaves done with watercolors & your gray shadow is perfect! May end up "needing" those dies when I get my purging done!

ReplyDeleteLOL! I'm going to try this again and see if I can get it right. Good thing my hands work better for art than for typing. I love your card and have this Floral Fantasy die, too. You've inspired me to get it out and try watercoloring it. Thus far, I've used it once with colored card stock. I do love the versatility for using with card stock, printed paper or coloring tehniques. :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty - love the color of your flower!
ReplyDeleteStunning Betty. The background looks so ethereal
